1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ZiHome ("the Platform," operated by ZiTechnologies), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

ZiHome is an online marketplace connecting people looking to rent, buy, or sell residential and commercial property, and land, across Uganda. ZiHome is a listing platform only — it is not a party to any rental, sale, or lease agreement made between users.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or list a property on ZiHome.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering, including a valid phone number that buyers/renters may use to contact you.

5. Listings & Content

• You must have the legal right to list any property you post, or be an authorized agent of the owner.
• Listing details (price, location, photos, description) must be accurate and not misleading.
• ZiHome reserves the right to review, verify, reject, or remove any listing at its sole discretion.
• A "Verified" badge indicates the listing passed ZiHome's review process; it is not a guarantee against fraud, and users should still exercise reasonable diligence (e.g., visiting the property, verifying land documents) before making payments or agreements.

6. Identity Verification

If you submit identification documents for seller verification, you confirm the documents are genuine and belong to you. ZiHome uses this information solely to assess trustworthiness for the Platform and does not guarantee the absence of fraud by verified or unverified users.

7. Payments

Certain features (Feature/Pin boosts, subscriptions, storefronts, advertising) require payment via mobile money (MTN or Airtel), submitted manually and confirmed by ZiHome staff before activation. Fees are as displayed at time of purchase and are non-refundable once a paid feature has been activated, except where required by Ugandan law. ZiHome does not process rent, sale, or deposit payments between users — all such transactions occur directly between the parties involved, at their own risk.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting fraudulent, duplicate, or misleading listings.
• Harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct toward other users.
• Attempting to circumvent ZiHome's verification or moderation systems.
• Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

9. Reviews

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. False, defamatory, or malicious reviews may be removed, and repeat offenders may be suspended.

10. Third-Party Services

ZiHome uses third-party services including Google Firebase (hosting, database, authentication), Google Maps Platform (location and nearby-places features), and WhatsApp (contact links). Use of these features is also subject to those providers' own terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

ZiHome is provided "as is." ZiTechnologies is not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions or agreements between users, including but not limited to rental disputes, fraudulent listings, or land ownership disputes. Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

12. Termination

ZiHome may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at its discretion, with or without notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.

14. Changes to These Terms

ZiHome may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
